How an inquiry works

Three steps from requirement to quotation.

  1. Send your requirement

Only name, email and requirements are required. Attach drawings, sample photos or application details if you have them.

  2. Engineering review

We review the drawing or sample for manufacturability and confirm material and tolerances.

  3. Quotation

Single-piece trials can be quoted, with pricing confirmed after review of material, process and project requirements. Price and lead time will be confirmed after review.

Who is Teamstar Manufacturing, and where is the factory?

Teamstar Manufacturing (Zhangzhou) Ltd. (群新工业(漳州)有限公司) is a member of Great Knives Group and makes custom industrial machine knives to drawing or sample. The factory is at No. 6, Shunxing Road, Changtai District, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, P.R. China, with more than 10,000 m² of manufacturing space plus 2,000 m² of warehousing.

The group was founded in Taiwan in 1978; the current Zhangzhou company was established on 2023-11-01; relocation to the Zhangzhou base began in 2024.06.

What knives do you make?

Six categories: woodworking, food processing, plastic & film, paper converting, textile cutting, and custom machine knives made to drawing or sample — including serrated packaging and paper converting knives, rotary/circular food processing knives and straight knives. Not sure of the category? You can still send an inquiry. Sample sizes shown are examples, not capability limits.

What do I need for a quote? Is a drawing required?

Only name, email and requirements are required. A drawing speeds up review but is not mandatory: a physical sample, old-blade photos or machine application details can also start the inquiry. Material and tolerances are confirmed during engineering review.

Up to 10 files (PDF, DXF, DWG, STEP, IGS, ZIP, JPG, PNG), 25 MB each, 100 MB total. Larger or later files can go to rd01@teamstarmfg.com with your inquiry reference.

Minimum order and lead time?

Single-piece trials can be quoted, with pricing confirmed after review of material, process and project requirements. Price and lead time will be confirmed after review.

How are knives made and quality controlled?

Process: engineering review, material verification, blank shaping, heat treatment, machining, precision grinding and protective packaging. Important manufacturing stages are completed within our own facility.

ISO 9001:2015 certified (CN25/00004088, SGS United Kingdom Ltd.). We release each batch against the acceptance criteria, retain the inspection records and provide an inspection report with the shipment; records are normally retained for 10 years.

What documents come with an order?

As specified for the order: original mill or material-supplier certificates and Teamstar internal material inspection reports (one does not replace the other). Commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading and customs records as applicable to the shipment.

Trade terms and payment?

EXW, FOB, CIF, DAP or DDP agreed by project; RMB, USD or EUR, by T/T, letter of credit or another agreed method. We can ship door-to-door by international courier (DAP) to most countries, usually via UPS or DHL, or a carrier you specify. Freight is quoted per project; import duties and taxes are paid by the buyer; transit time follows the carrier's service.

Do you support OEM / private label and confidentiality?

Customer-brand and OEM/private-label projects are supported, and a confidentiality agreement can be signed when required. Customer-specified labels, barcodes, batch numbers, shipping marks and packing instructions are supported.

Have a project to evaluate?

Send a drawing, sample photos or machine details. We confirm price and lead time after review.
